Electrolux serial number lookup
Look up a Electrolux appliance
How Electrolux serial numbers work
Plant letter, product letter, last digit of the year, two-digit week, five-digit unit number.
The structure is identical to Frigidaire's: plant letter, product letter, last digit of the year, two-digit production week, then a five-digit unit number. Ten characters exactly.
As with Frigidaire, the decade is simply not there. The serial tells you it was built in, say, week 22 of a year ending in 5 — which is 2025, 2015, 2005 or 1995. Given that Electrolux's North American premium line is relatively recent, the more recent candidates are usually the plausible ones, but the serial itself does not say so.
Electrolux appliances tend to be built-in or higher-specification, which affects where the label lives. On wall ovens it is on the frame inside the door opening. On built-in refrigerators it is typically on the interior side wall of the fresh-food compartment. On dishwashers, open the door and check the edge.
If your Electrolux serial does not match the ten-character layout, the most useful next step is the model number and the manufacturer's own support channel. Electrolux can confirm a build date from records in a way no public decoder can.
Example Electrolux serial format
An example built from published documentation. We never use real customer serial numbers.
ND52212345
N is the plant, D identifies a dryer, 5 is the last digit of the year, 22 is the twenty-second week, and 12345 is the unit number.

- Refrigerators: inside the fresh-food compartment on the side wall.
- Wall ovens: on the frame inside the door opening.
- Dishwashers: on the door edge with the door open.
Production-period caveats
- This rule covers North American Electrolux appliances only. Electrolux products sold in Europe and Australia use different conventions we have not sourced.
- As with Frigidaire, the decade is absent from the code.
Why a lookup commonly fails
- A European Electrolux serial was entered, which will not match the ten-character North American layout.
- A product number was entered instead of the serial number.

Electrolux serial number questions
- My Electrolux was bought in Europe. Can you date it?
- Not currently. European Electrolux appliances use different serial conventions that we have not been able to source properly, and applying the North American rule to them would produce a confident-looking wrong answer.
- How do I work out the decade?
- The print date on the owner's manual is the most reliable route, followed by the model number's production era and your own purchase records. The week and year digit from the serial are solid — you only need to establish which decade.
- Are Electrolux and Frigidaire appliances interchangeable?
- They share a parent company and this serial format, but they are separate product lines at different price points with different components. Parts do not automatically interchange.
